“I've had a busy career in broadcast journalism, starting off in the North West at Radio City, Rock FM and Piccadilly Key 103. From there, I spent more than 12 years at Radio One Newsbeat as a news and entertainment reporter and then doing my dream job as presenter. I'm currently Deputy Editor of the BBC's Newsround programme based at MediaCity in Salford.
My advice for Young Old Wacs is to keep on trying! Don’t give up. Be prepared to do lots of work experience before bagging the dream job. It’s a tough area to get into, but it’s also incredibly fun and very rewarding.
My favourite memory of CHS is feeling very grown up when hanging out in the Common Room.”
