Holly Willock, Class of 2016

Holly started at Cheadle Hulme School when she was four, graduating fourteen years later in 2016. During her time at CHS Holly was heavily involved in many of the drama and musical theatre productions, winning the Performing Arts prize in the upper sixth. In her final year at Cheadle she attended an open audition and won the role of ‘Portia’ in a new musical production of ‘The Wind in the Willows’ which went on to tour the UK. For her professional debut Holly was nominated for ‘Best Newcomer’ at the Manchester Theatre Awards. She then went on to understudy Lois Lane in Kiss Me Kate at Kilworth House Theatre and most recently toured the UK in The Sound Of Music playing Liesl Von Trapp, in Cardiff and Birmingham, and understudying the lead role of Maria Rayner. In the summer of 2018, thanks to the support of ‘The Old Waconian Educational Fund’ Holly gained a place at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts and completed a six week musical theatre intensive.
