One to watch in the water sports world, active Year 10 student Lucy has been making waves in the world of water-skiing.
Last August Lucy placed 4th in the trick final at the Junior European Waterski Champions in Ukraine for the British Junior Team - the second year in a row she was selected for the team.
After a winter hampered by injury, Lucy showed grit and determination in July and returned to the Under 14 British Championships in style. Winning in the trick and the jump, and setting a British Tournament Under 14 Girls Slalom Record, she became the overall Under 14 British Champion 2018.
More impressively, only did she dominate in her own division, but she also stepped up to compete in the senior fleet in the trick for the first time, only just missing out on a medal in 4th place.
Lucy is part of the Higher Performance Programme for young athletes at CHS. She can often be found training, working upon her strength and conditioning with the sports staff in the Pavilion making sure she is at her best for her next competition.
2019 sees the start of her first season in the Under 17s category and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this rising star.
