Sammy Sultan, Class of 2007

Sammy spent six years at Cheadle Hulme School, between the ages of 7 and 13, before his family relocated. Ultimately, Sammy went on to study Law at The University of Warwick.

Unfortunately law wasn’t for him and he instead pursued a career in entertainment, getting his break in 2014. He wrote, produced and presented his own interview show for Boxnation TV, called Black Cab Box Chat. During this period, Sammy got to know Manchester boxing legends Tyson Fury and Anthony Crolla.

In 2016, Sammy accepted a place at The University of Southern California to study his first love, screenwriting. Soon after graduating, Sammy was selected as a BAFTA LA Newcomer and placed highly in a range of prestigious screenwriting contests, including The Academy Nicholl Fellowship and The Austin Film Festival.

Currently, Sammy’s two feature films, Felix’s Bar Mitzvah and Raymond’s Room are in development with respective producers. The first is to be shot in Los Angeles, the second Manchester: setting him up for what he hopes to be a working life that sees him straddle both sides of the pond.
