Sarah Allen first entered the School as a pupil in 1877 and over the next 50 years returned to the School as a teacher, assistant matron and matron, totalling around 50 years at the School.
She was known for her kindness and commitment to the School.
One of the Senior School Houses ‘Allen’ is named in her honour.
